Saturation diving training
The saturation diving training at NUI is a collaboration with Høgskolen i bergen (HIB), where NUI is responsible for equipment and facilities, while HIB is responsible for the education.
The saturation diving training (bell diving) opened 28 april 2008, and is the result of many years of effort by several parties. The project was achieved with support from StatoilHydro, Exxonmobil, Norwegian Shell, the Storting (the Norwegian Parliament), the ministry of education and research and the diving companies Technip, Acergy and subsea 7.
The opening of step 2 of the diving education is planned initiated during spring 2011.
