Organizational Changes

We at NUI AS are very pleased to announce that Hans Bjarne Abotnes has accepted the role of Manager Hyperbaric Operations.

Hans Bjarne has over 15 years of experience in the diving industry, including training rescue divers and working as a chamber operator. He has also served in the Armed Forces and worked as an HSE partner. For the past six months, Hans Bjarne has served as Assistant Manager Hyperbaric Operations with NUI.

Hans Bjarne will oversee the operation and maintenance of NUI's chamber facilities in line with mobilization requirements. He will ensure that external personnel for hyperbaric operations and contingency functions are properly trained and verified. He will also plan and execute hyperbaric contingency trials. Furthermore, he will be responsible for maintaining and operating chamber and support systems according to current procedures, as well as developing, updating, and revising operational and maintenance documentation.

Hans Bjarne replaces David Humphreys, who has held the position of Manager Hyperbaric Operations for over 15 years but is now choosing to step down. Fortunately for NUI AS, David has accepted a position as Senior Advisor with NUI, and we look forward to benefiting from David's knowledge and expertise in the years to come.
