New hyperbaric test chambers at NUI

NUI is buying two new hyperbaric test chambers to be able to serve our customers needs for the future. With this investment, NUI will position itself as a global leader when it comes to supplier of ultradeep test facilities of significant size and volumes.

Deepest chamber

  • Pressure: 1000 bar (10 000 msw)
  • Inner diameter: 110 cm (43 in)
  • Hight: 350 cm (138 in)
  • Volume: 3,3 m3

Largest chamber

  • Pressure: 700 bar (7000 msw)
  • Inner diameter: 180 cm (71 in)
  • Hight: 350 cm (138 in)
  • Volume: 8,9 m3

Both systems will be delivered with Optime’s advanced control system, enabling NUI’s customers the ability to test, monitor and document numerous different environments and scenarios. We decided to procure these high pressure and large size hyperbaric chambers in order to be in the forefront of the technology demanded by our customers, and be able to support the Euorpean market with testing of larger components and systems. We expect to be operational in Q2 2020.

We need to build a new building for these two chambers. The test facility will be easily accessible by the key side at Gravdal in Bergen. The facilities will be tailored to the test activity to ensure a streamlined experience, and cost effective performance. We offer project offices for our customers, in connection with the new test chambers.
